Spend an unforgettable day in the fertile, hospitable region of Kakheti. The route takes you over the scenic Gombori Pass (100 km, 2 hours) to Telavi — the capital of Kakheti and the filming location of the legendary 'Mimino', with its statue of Erekle II. From there we continue to Sighnaghi, a medieval trading town on the Silk Road encircled by walls with 23 towers. The day ends at the Bodbe Monastery, where, by tradition, St. Nino — who brought Christianity to Georgia in the 4th century — is buried. A wine tasting at a local cellar and a sampling of Georgian sweets and cheese are included.
